my name is joshua de boer and i am a perth based multi discpilinary visual artist. i specialise as a 3D generalist creating high end visuals for AD campaigns, events and film. As well as video production, editing, visual effects, animation and directing.

Not everything can be achieved behind a computer. when it comes to tasks of a human nature my preferred method is getting behind the camera and Filming something unique. Filmmaking will always remain deeply personal and nothing encaspulates this quite like a a well composed scene with direction, lighting and action.

I am able to facilite almost all parts of this from direction, cinematography, editing and colour work. everything featured below has been shot & Coloured by myself with most edited and some directed.

A combination between techonology and film, Visual effects are a natural medium between 3D cgi and old school film. when it isn’t possible to capture an idea entirely in camera having a skillset in visual effeects helps me to expand and create something truly exciting. i have experience on set as a cinematographer and director which affords me a strong ability to understand what is needed when it comes to shoot day and what pit falls need to be avoided.
